The Babysitter
She turns on the television
As she hears the sirens sound
She tries to call the children's parents
But they're no where to be found
Only sixteen, she's scared and all alone
The children only two and four
She is a very dependable babysitter
Tho she's only done it twice before
"It's time to seek immediate shelter"
She heard the announcer say
What was she going to do?
For it was heading right their way
She stuffs the children under the bed
And headed down the hall
The winds pick up and the skies grow dark
As the hail begins to fall
She tries to close the windows
As the wind takes her breath
Then she hears a crashing sound
That literally scares her half to death
She runs back to check the children
And takes them by the hand
The wind has blown the windows out
And it almost impossible to stand
She takes them to the bathroom
And finally shuts the door
She hears the sound of a locomotive
Something, she's never heard before
She puts the children in the tub
And sits the mattress on top
The whole house began to shake
As they prayed for it to stop
The roof is finally ripped away
As the brother holds his sister
All three scream in horror
As they stare into the twister
But when they thought they'd surely die
The funnel just disappears
They shiver in the darkness
As they try to calm their fears
The storm had finally ended
And somehow they all survived
They knew this night was over
When their parents finally arrived
