The Baby

The Baby flaunting a charming smile.
His eyes invite me to stay a while.
He seems to wish to share his light,
A world of purity and sweet delight.

Yet, I who know the shadows deep
Hold secrets that I would rather keep.
For,in my heart there lies a sting
Of dirty truth that life can bring.

You have written a poem of contrasts, with great rhyme. I find rhyme difficult.
