The Attempt

Sirens blaring
Lights flashing
Machines beeping
All around
Doctors trying
To save me from dying
And finding a home
In the ground
Family crying
Friends praying
Everybody
Asking why.
Heart stops beating
I stop breathing
The time has come
For me to die.
Doctors working
Family screaming
I slowly open
Up my eyes.
My life is saved
I'm not in the grave
Happy tears flow
From my family's eyes.
Death is weeping
I am sleeping
I've lived to see another day.
I am crying
Still feel like dying
It shouldn't have to
Be this way.

Thanks for sharing this in your poetic style. May you find hope in the Lord Who saves, and grants life eternal, according to John 3:16 of the Bible: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Welcome to PS. God bless you.
