The Artist's Room
Have you ever met an artist, the kind that paints I mean?
They are amazing people but their paint room isn't clean!
Their mind is full and non-stop thoughts of what to paint again,
Even though he has three more on the go or is that really ten?
There're pictures on the walls and laying on the floor,
There are some on the table and he's looking for more.
Paint brushes in a can and pencils here and there,
Photographs he's taken clipped to a board... but where?
There are tubes to store paintings just sitting on a rack,
But some are framed and finished and put carefully in a sack.
He needs a bigger studio not just an 8x10,
He needs room to show his wares this he can't pretend.
He sees joy, in this chaos? Somewhere in that range,
So to my artist friend I've learned, this will never change.
