The Art of Truth
I could sit and write like every poet
About an ocean wave that moves me
I could paint with words in depth any
Colorful story filled, life lived reality
But every ocean wave that's been or
Will be has already been described
Every ocean wave that can be told of
The masses have imbibed
But not with thoughts or feelings
For me I have yet to read or to express
And it's my job as a poet
With the gift that I possess
To innovate emotional growth with
Bountiful insight when I create
To write and recite new depths, levels
And parallels in order that I can translate
The art of truth that God expresses
Through the lifetime of happenings we undergo
To be of service to my audience so that
They simply understand, accept and grow.
