The Arrow of Cues
India.Arie you helped me see
that clarity of intention
sculpts the skeleton of results
and the vision of invention
your message haunts why I try
the push for what God wills
and I'd go for my dam dreams
but I have to pay my bills
the life I've built is the obstacle
how to I empty to be filled
how do I take on all I've made
to get passed all I've willed
to tear it all down means loss
Im attached to plan B
this second option is working out
I have a peace, and I feel free
but intuition scolds apprehension
to settle limits God's will
developing a nature dissatisfaction
tortures my present standing still
the life I've built is the obstacle
how do I empty to be filled
how do I take on all I've made
to get passed all I've willed
Im trapped by my freedom to choose
to gain also means to lose
here, detachment means to fuse
action to the arrow of cues
