The Armor of God

"The Armor Of GOD"      
                  (Ephesians 6:11-17)

      
         When the enemy comes to my life,
                 tries to steal my JOY,
                  and leave me strife,
                 I know just what to do!
            I want to share it now with you!

                I go put on the "Armor" 
                of HE who has my back!
                  With head held high
                      I have no fear,
                    "BRING IT DEVIL!"....
                 "Bring on the attack!"

                I take the "Belt of Truth",
            cinch it tight around my waist,
          the "Breastplate of Righteousness"
                              I don...
              with a big smile on my face!

                The "Gospel of Peace"
                     is my footwear
                    in which I'm shod!
               I plan on giving the devil...
                        "NO PEACE!"
            when I stomp on him as I trod!

               The "Helmet of Salvation"
                 I wear it like a crown!
                        "Hey Devil!"....
                       "GET READY!"
                    I'm coming TO you,
                     to KNOCK you out
                     and put you DOWN!!!

                  The "Shield of Faith's"
                    on my right arm!
                      HIS "POWER" 
                 is surging through me!
               The battle will soon be won!
                One more thing and then.... 
                         "VICTORY!"

           I grab the "Sword of The Spirit"
            I'm ready to make my stand!!!
      Knowing that HE is right there with me-
                 with me in this battle,
                HIS hand with my hand!

                     In this "Armor"
                  I CAN'T go wrong!
                     HIS strength!....
                 "IT" keeps me strong!
        Who better could have your back?
         There is NO THING you will lack!

         I know that when GOD is for me,
          the devil doesn't stand a chance!
             Stand tall, go into the battle,
                   and when it's won...
             "DO THE VICTORY DANCE!"

            "There's no weapon formed,
           that shall prosper against me,"     
                       (Isaiah 54:17)
                 when I'm standing tall
                         dressed in
                 "The Armor Of GOD!"
