The Angels' Hand

The light faded away
The jewel of tears returned
To an angels’ hand
The angel smiled
At what we saw and learned

Of things, thought
Of things that cannot be so
Battles fought
The other world
Held in the hand
Of a jewel
That lost its’ glow

Angel
Burning bright
Carrying hope
Carrying light

Of things, thought
Of things that cannot be so
The other world
Has no love
No angels
Just battles fought
Misery and woe

Wings, bright
Stardust glow
An angel rose
In to the night
Of things learned

The angels’ hand
Carried the light
The jewel of tears
Seeped through
Hand wet
Trailing the star bright
