The Alien Weeps Tonight

The city slides
and sins creep
towards beautiful colors
leaning on cold, stone walls

A look steals a heart
silence screams
the alien weeps tonight
while the soulless breathe

Lost in luminary nightmares
and paper dreams
this place is just a pit stop
we'll gain much more when we leave

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Exceptionally well penned. I particularly appreciate the oxymoron, "silence screams." "Paper dreams" - your creativity soars here. Best wishes Brian
