The Alien Flood

THE ALIEN FLOOD
The displaced river, dry in the desert, its sandy memory blank, forgets how to flow, waits for the rains to breach the bank. The unattached emotion, alien to your heart, its place uncertain, fails to fill you until the flood comes with my tears of pain.

Interesting four liner.. When we are misunderstood, we are like an alien to others.. Congratulations on your placement in the contest..
