The Agnostic

The Agnostic


Is it Evolution or Creation?
Has caused a great sensation.

Who am I and where am I from?
This I ponder some.

Genesis says we were first conceived
In a story about  Adam and Eve.

Darwin had a different solution.
In a theory he called Evolution.

Now that puts me on the fence
The answer leaves me in suspense.

Creation says we came six thousand years ago
But Darwin says that's not so.

Evolution rejects Creation
Note 130 dog breeds from mutation.

But when I need help - Guess whom  I pray to?
It is not a dog you surely knew.

And did the Master of the Universe
Give Darwin's "dog" - His Name in reverse?

Some say it was a "sign"
Created by the Great Design.

Others say it is nonsense
Just a mere coincidence.

But which side is right?
It keeps me awake at night.

Well both sides seem fantastic
So call me a Reverent Agnostic.
