The Aging Curse

We all suffer from the aging curse, one we can never reverse. It affects us all in different ways, yet seems worse on certain days. There are those who can eat and not gain a pound, while others are big and round. Everything we eat goes straight to our gut, or helps pad the butt. Many have to deal with the incoming gray, which makes us look distinguished some say. Of course there are wrinkles and crow’s feet, then before long our hairline starts to retreat. As if that isn’t bad enough, next we wake up everyday feeling rough. Aches and pains we never knew we had, its no wonder old people are always grumpy or mad. Getting older may mean you’re mature, but it’s no fun that is for sure. Nonetheless there are things far worse, than suffering from the aging curse.

J, Feeling rough in the waking hours brings me out of my dream state into the reality of the world awaiting with its harsh and demanding youthful splendor. The world gets younger as I get older, rougher, and by necessity - tougher. Namyohorengekyo
