The African Sling
Not all hunters can use it with bravery-
when the wild animal is rough and angry,
wise hunter picks sling to do the noble job.
that moment no brother is near to count on,
the sling is the only real brother to turn to.
When the monster has attacked the village,
where men are cowardly and sluggish,
the brave little man comes up with sling.
Like David the little shepherd boy ages ago,
moves forward and brings down Goliath.
There is magical power in the African sling,
the weapon more powerful than the spring,
little hunter’s little strap tired on little stick.
the vulnerable saved with a sting sing in joy,
hurray, rejoice- there is magic in the sling
Sling the beast; sling the ghost, advance,
little hunter with little sling gladly does it.
Let the scared ones live new life in spring,
The brave hunter can sling down the beast.
There is magical power in the African sling
