The Accommodation

What of violence and God; does death pre-curse life? As each creature large or small lives through strife. And, righteous wrath, what of its source a mere aberration of mans faulty mental course? Surely, some claim to hear the Voice, Yet, do they simply make a human choice? Violence brought upon man by man; how can it exist we ponder, without God’s Hand? Malnourished or over stimulated human kind find murderous meanings in the convoluted mind. Anger does not motivate the most High and holy state, Man has given false meaning to accommodate. The wise will look to mortal gain when caught between righteousness and pain. Step lightly, and be not proud for no man knows the mind of God.

You are an amazing poet, Deborah...and I am astonished to find you are 60! This poem is just perfection! I act about 40 also...it has been wonderful talking to you. And yes, I shall write poetry on my way to my grave! As for "Him"...I am struggling. Thanks for all your kind words. KEEP WRITING! Patricia

How true that we never know what God has planned for us, Deborah. Surely, man uses God as an excuse (an accommodation) to pursue war. Very nice! Love, Carolyn

Somehow it seems that God does help those who help themselves, but then again so do the powers of darkness, thanks for pointing out to use capitals when refering to God, i never went to an english school, i was raised in mexico and it is very dificult for me to use proper puncuation, but im still learning.

By the way, Saints are chosen and they do not choose themselves. The world today seems to shun some for simply speaking their minds and pain. Its what every poet does, as well as Preachers, Priest. I don't believe this person thinks they know the mind of God, maybe they are interpreted wrong. I use to have that problem which is the reason I know write and save on my flash card rather for everyone to see. Enjoyed this poetry and have a great day.

Loved this true poetry which made me think of a person, not me but another writer. Brutally honest and down to earth and thats how I like it. Thank you for correcting a few mistakes also for my last poem: Her Perfume, I have to get around to correcting alot of mistakes, thank god for teachers. Enjoy your day.

"Anger does not motivate the most High and holy state, Man has given false meaning to accommodate." I am planning to become a saint now! (Reason? I am kinda hyper at times...) and this line made me think about my sensei (martial arts' teacher) who used to ask me every time to use my mind by unleashing positiveness.... This poem is amazing!
