The 4 Seasons
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall
These are the seasons that embrace us all
We start the year in the dead of winter
Where, wind, ice and snow fester like a splinter
Everywhere you look are visions of death
Where the harsh cold winds will take your breath
Sometimes it seems winter will never end
Then just like that Spring is around the bend.
Then the sun begins to warm the earth
And everywhere you look you see new birth
Birds are nesting, squirrels are playing
And the morning dew is art work displaying
Flowers blooming, trees budding, birds singing
Grass is greening, people are smiling and spring is springing
The beauty of Spring leads to the season of heat
Where the grass grows tall, gardens produce and ice cream is a treat
Where humming birds swarm the flowers
And daylight last for hours
When children swim and many vacations begin
That is when it is Summer we are in.
With Summer’s end comes a world of beauty
When gathering nuts is a squirrels duty
Where vibrant colors turn our landscape to a magnificent painting
Orange, red, yellow, green and brown give a view most captivating
As the leaves dance forever on the ground
The aroma of fall is all around
As the Fall Season ends, a new year shall begin
And we ask ourselves, Winter will end when?
