Thawed Thoughts

I thought I saw a thaw
Turns out it was naught
This cold can start to gnaw
More than it really ought

The road, with danger fraught
Ice had us in its maw
And travelers got caught
Horrendous pile-ups saw

Jeff Kyser Date: 12/27/2022 7:09:00 AM It really caught North Alabama by surprise - roads all over the place iced over in minutes, left hundreds, if not thousands, stranded, parking their cars and waking home. Weird! We were happy as clams, inside and warm, but our daughter and family, visiting a friend not far away, had to spend the night with them!
