That's Why I Hide

I do not know how to express My feelings of happiness. Feelings that I have inside. I hide. Even though my cup overflows And my heart and soul explodes, With awe when I see The breathless beauty of nature, That surrounds me. Exotic words and elaborate phrases, My limited vocabulary erases, Although I know It is not entirely so. There are no words to express The complete happiness I privately feel inside. That's why I hide.

You expressed it very well. Poetry is a life line for me at times. I too feel I can’t adequately express the beauty of this earth. A very lovely poem my friend. Blessings xxoo

May I suggest that's why you write poetry, too? Because you want to express those deep feelings you cannot seem to let come out in verbal expression. Marvelous introspective writing, Shirley.

Thank you, Mike Words are fascinating. Many poets on P.S. express deep emotion so well it captures the reader's imagination ( pure poetry.) I feel flattered that you found beauty in my rhyme. Happy Thursday to you, Mike.
