That's What I Feel

That's What I Feel

Ever wonder how a raindrop feels
 When it hits the ground
 Or what a drifter senses
 As he is nowhere bound
 Ever ponder of Titanic
 And those who didn't survive
I oft times feel as they felt
 Although
 Some claim
 I am alive
 Chorus
 That's what I feel
Like a lost fawn in the forest
 All alone
 Not knowing where I'm going
 No place
 To call home
 Searching for where I belong
 In a world
 Gone terribly wrong
 That's what I feel

Very emotional. The way this world is just has an uncanny means of bringing out very thought provoking feelings and messages. You captured that very well here. It's a powerful message that so few can grasp on to but you found the words to show it life. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you so much Jason :) I haven't been on this site for 3 months- been living at a friend's doing the chores she can no longer do. Doctor says her time is almost up. Once she no longer requires my assistance I will return. May inspiration be with you so you can share more of your wonderful writings :) Joan.

I enjoyed this sad write - it expressed the feel of loneliness so well. Are you writing song lyrics? music, too? I can easily imagine guitars ... CayCay
