That Too Is True
I love the sun
when the day's done,
as it shifts red
where clouds have bled,
and at last light
sinks out of sight.
I love the stars;
the rise of Mars,
and winds that blow;
the moon's soft glow
and the night sky
when dusk is nigh.
I love the rain,
it knows my pain
and cries with me
for all to see;
drops trickling down
to quench the ground.
I love fresh air
and those that share,
for they are real;
know how I feel
and tend my tears
my hurts and fears.
I love the truth,
it strikes a chord
within my heart,
doing its part
to heal my soul
and make me whole.
And I love you,
that, too, is true!
