That Struggle
I was born in, that struggle!!
I refuse to settle for less
Watching mother stress for more
She works overtime for checks
Still is short to bless us four.
Ya see the tears don't lie when the-
Pain comes to surface and you-
Loose all hope like
when you think everything's worthless.
I was born in, that struggle!!
She hugs me, loves me
Chills below me hangs above
I discovered her she smothers me
It's always push and shove.
Ya see the tears don't lie when the-
Pain comes to surface and you-
Loose all hope like
when you think everything's worthless.
I was born in, that struggle!!
Dime quarter penny,
I'm short of plenty,
Mind sorta weary often
Eyes soft and teary.
I's brought up shifting 'partments
blind hard of hearing,
My mother put a belt
on my backside I didn't act right.
I was born in, that struggle.
