“That Small Space”
Written in song style and melody of Hunter Hayes’ “In A Song”
It was that first look
Second was all it took
For me to choose
Her eyes were so blue
Didn't know what to do
Was too good to be true
My heart raced, didn't know why
That time, that place
Was meant to be
Didn't want to leave
The look on her face
[Chorus]
I smiled… I just said hi…
My eyes found hers
Her smile liked my try
Time stood still
Would last until
I could win that small space
Between her and I...
Only heard about moments like this
Then we gently kissed
Yeah I was close a few times
But always missed
That arrow of love that sometimes finds
These moments that are few
I was so sure, I didn't know why
But I just knew..
[Chorus]
I smiled… I just said hi…
My eyes found hers
Her smile liked my try
Time stood still
Would last until
I could win that small space
Between her and I...
Oooh oh mmm mm
Oh, mmmmm, mmmm, mm
Our eyes were locked
And silently talked
A friend said let’s go
She saw my look of fear
Took my hand and began walking slow
Didn't want this moment to end
We smiled and walked away
Knowing we’d meet again
Was worth any delay….
[Chorus]
I smiled… I just said hi…
My eyes found hers
Her smile liked my try
Time stood still
Would last until
I could win that small space
Between her and I...
Yeah, between her and I…
Between her and I. mmmm
Win that small space…
That small… space…
