That Sinking Feeling
Mourning the death of his dear friend John the Baptist
The Lord set off to be alone in the early morning midst
Feeling the pain of such a great loss, His dearest friend
Is just one of the messages that day that the Lord will send
For he just wanted to be alone
But the usually large crowds had suddenly grown
Feeling compassion, for each and every ailment
Curing all the sick as this day had now went
Then with two fish and five loaves
He feed them all, as they came in droves
Sending His apostles by boat and departing the crowd
For now He needed some peace and this place was too loud
And later, while the sea's racked the Apostles boat
In the darkness they seen something afloat
Trembling in fear, they all called out
As the Lord said "It is I' to end all their doubt
And as Peter asked, the Lord said come to me
And in that storm Peter walked on that sea
But as the storm grew even more severe
He lost sight of his faith and became filled with fear
