That Part of You

THAT PART OF YOU
I have that part of you who flies,
no one can ever know,
around the sun, between the moon
and where life has to go.

That secret part, who's never seen,
your deepest fantasy,
your opening, and closing act,
first word, and final plea.

I have that part of you who smiles,
the smile I'll not forget;
your recognizing of a friend,
in someone you've just met.

That secret part, unknown to those
who see you every day,
but never think to look for you,
in spite of what you say.

I have that part of you who seeks,
and lets your fingers touch,
that part of you who feels life's pain,
though sometimes feels too much.

That secret part who never stays,
the part who'll always come and go,
so real; so not; so always there;
who no one else will ever know.
