That man

I will never meet the man
I needed for my life
a man to hold my hand
a man I could live inside
a man who could make me laugh
a man who could make me cry
a man I could play with
a man I could call mine

I will never meet that man
cuz he doesn't exist
cuz he didn't come
to fill up my needs
to make me grow strong
to watch me on the streets
and make sure I'd come home
in one piece.
