That Look

it’s not the way you talk to her
Like you don’t ever want to talk to anybody else
It’s not the way you don’t see me at all
But only notice her
It’s not the way you greet her
Like you’ve missed her all night
It’s the way you look at her
That kills me inside
Like you’ve just seen the sun for the first time
Like you’ve been looking for happiness for so long and finally found it
Like you’ve just found the one
The one that should have been me
