All the weeks once spent revealing
Efforts pledged for Friday feeling
Life's intents and notions reeling ...
Yet, the weekend always shined
Composing body, soul and mind
Weekdays proving thus, unkind ...
Still its sanguine trend
It always had an end.
Seemed no matter how it spun
Start-to-end the week would run
Stress was ne'er to be outdone ...
Obligations, they were chanced
Hopes all let, as time advanced
Always, Friday evening danced ...
Like a winsome sprite
Feign for Sunday night.
On-and-on the pattern stretched
Crimps and crows-feet slowly etched
In a face that often wretched ...
From the sour hopes that failed
Plans and prospects, as travailed
Efforts spurned and aims derailed ...
Proceeds withered on
Friday nights-and-gone.
Then, at reaching all-time lows
One more week came to a close
But, that promise of repose ...
Developed from a new divide
Repletion work could not provide
A joy that seeded deep inside ...
Growing from my soul
Faith had made me whole ...
Yes, it's faith ... I now extol.
