-that Distant Shore-
Out across the water
and down around the bend
is a place I've not yet seen
and a shore without an end.
Once you get to that place
just out around that bend,
they'll be another distance
to that shore without an end.
Life is a lot like that
as you're at that certain place.
Reach out at opportunity
and don't give up the chase.
Achieve the goal before you
as the distance you do cross.
And when you reach that shore,
you'll know that gain outweighs the loss.
