That Dark Place

"That Dark Place"
that place where hope waits torturously in vain and strength is found cloaked in the kinder darkness it waits patiently in that remote singular quiet a neat corner of solitude back-of-house where sonnets call to mind jangling contemplation of under promises and over zealous outcomes romancing poésies pressed between the seconds and the hours, the days and years missed the metronome tick-ticks luring forth integrity from phantoms outside of imagination such a rare well-hidden jewel dangling on the end of a long chain of events to find courage sorely missing front-of-house on its card table of tricks that dark place its truth well lit and the light once switched, changes the shade of everything (LadyLabyrinth / 2023)

I rose in the dark, to fight such massive power. It waiting, breathlessly with its awesome powers. Not unlike the sadden monsters of ancient times. Its heart filled with its deathly deep darken crimes. And as horror begs, evil cries rests in its soul. And under blood-red moon, soon arrives bloody tolls... RJL.. verse spill out.. yours a gem and a fav ...my friend. God bless.

Traversing dark, and dwelling in it for a time, experiencing the dark - in some, Light is borne. In some, not all.

Thank you for exposing your dark place in that "solitude back-of-house " You may not have the courage to write in front of your house, but thank you for sharing the space out in the back. Yes, sometimes it's as simple as turning on the light to change the hue of everything. Well written!

Thank you. We are all made of the light and dark stuff. Truth is usually found in the dark. Therefore, dark is required to produce light.

“I have learned things in the dark that I could never have learned in the light, things that have saved my life over and over again, so that there is really only one logical conclusion. I need darkness as much as I need light.”

“There are no shadows in the dark. Shadows are the servants of light, the children of fire. The brightest flame casts the darkest shadows.”
