Thanksgiving Request
If you are reading this, I have but one request,
That you write a poem about being blessed.
Tell your readers how special life is to you,
The abilities to write, see and speak of all old and new.
The wind through your hair, the sun upon your face,
Tell the world about the divinity of your faith.
This universe so wide, vast and unending comes down to a point,
To your soul, your being, your consciousness, your awareness, a living joint…
A joint connecting you to friends, family, community, forests, the Earth.
Now don’t wait, grab your pen and write, let your thankfulness give birth.
