Thanksgiving Day In Heaven

THANKSGIVING DAY IN HEAVEN

We know there is no time in heaven,
No moon or the stars out at night,
What is Thanksgiving Day now in heaven?
It’s surely a quite different sight!
Why, everyone’s healthy and young there,
Nobody is crying or sad,
No mourners at gravesites to gather,
Just everyone happy and glad.
And now and then there is rejoicing
As they hear that somebody below
Repented of sins, trusted Jesus,
And now they to heaven will go.
I know there will be a great gathering
When the trumpet calls out from the sky
For a great Thanksgiving Day up in heaven
For all to enjoy by and by.
We will feast ’round the table together—
The marriage of the Lamb on that day
And we’ll fellowship there then forever
In a most glad and glorious way!
Oh, my friend, will you be there then with me?
Celebrate there that Thanksgiving Day?
You can KNOW that you’ll be there then with me
If you’ll trust in my Saviour today!
