Thanks To the Darkness

Thought I saw the sun. Felt it's warmth through to my bones. Radiance divine. The shine brightened up my world. It's easy to forget while in its rays you lie that the same sun that you thrive on leaves you burned and blinds your eyes. It seems you need the darkness to make you realize that its time to look away before the damage multiplies. Once the darkness falls and smothers out most of that light your vision takes a new perspective. Blinded eyes again have sight. We must thank the darkness for allowing us to see. If we only had the Sun, blinded fools we all would be.
