Thanks For a Priceless Memory
Thanksgiving dinners are just not the same
.......when you move far away from home
But my siblings and I had no choice
.......to obtain jobs we had to roam
When our mother said she was coming to visit
.......we were so happily elated
For we all knew that we were in for a treat
.......and our tastebuds would soon be sated
Mom once again out did herself
........Thanksgiving dinner was deliciously amazing
Having her with us and cooking with love
.......she deserved all of our praising
She proudly stated, "I'm glad I haven't lost my touch"
.......her face full of loving affection
My siblings and I all readily agreed
.......that her meal was cooked to perfection
But when I added, "Yes, mom you're stilled touched"
.......you could have heard a pin drop
Then gales of laughter followed
.......that no one could seem to stop
For I was known as the sweet one
......so out of character for me to say
Mom knew I was making a joke
.......creating a memorable Thanksgiving day
