Thankful For This Winding Road

As I glance towards the sky and hear the clouds calling there's a knowledge of spirit that strengthens me. In the depth of my being while stumbling and falling I'm thankful I have the choice to be free. I'm grateful for love though it's fleeting at times; still I know there are those less fortunate souls. Thankful for breathing in rhythm and rhymes and this long, winding road though I'm paying the tolls. Thank God for friendships that only grow stronger and for precious hearts that I don't know yet. Glad to discover my bloodlines grow longer; All the family members that I've finally met. There's knowledge and talents that enrich my life; sweet pets to love and nature to humble. Music and laughter to roll away strife; being able to jump up when life takes a tumble. So many more things that I'm thankful for; a warm place to sleep when my day is done. To welcome the daybreak makes my heart soar; Being able to walk when I want to run. I'll say my thanks daily to all who would hear me; be gracious and accept that my life is good. Keep all the ones who love me quite near me; spread love to my neighbor just as I should. for contest "Give Thanks" sponsored by Debbie Guzzi
