Thankful For a New Day

THANKFUL FOR A NEW DAY

Days and nights stacked layer upon layer,
the span of destined time opens like petals
as the essence of existence gradually unfurls
the beauty of life until it withers like a flower.

The wilting flower doesn’t even know when
on a cold opaque night it will hear the call
of the dark final bed of the ground and fall
thanking the sun that made it long to glisten.

Walking tired the last laps of life’s pathway
I sleep every uncertainly long night praying.
Thank God when I rise in the sunny morning
for gifting me yet another new adoring day.

The last two lines are just reflection of my thoughts. It seemed I have written. All the best.
