Thankful
From your family to your friends,
To the very breath you’re taking in.
There’s so much to be thankful for,
Having family is what I’m grateful for.
The thoughts of loved ones resonate,
In the hearts of those around us.
When their time has come and gone,
Lean on their strong spirit to lead you on.
The holidays are meant for the family,
Unfortunately, not everyone has a family.
Let’s aim to be a family reformer,
Rather than a group of bench warmers.
Peace, love, friendship and joy,
Are feelings that we all enjoy.
From the turkey to the gifts,
It’s time to start making your list.
