Thankful

When thanks is the subject matter
I carefully search my heart
For gifts that clearly impart
Things that enrich, not just flatter.

Like waking to see a new day
Inhaling sweet breaths of life
Thirty-three years as a wife
Two daughters and grandkids, I pray.

When thankfulness is the center
Of your attitude year ‘round
The change in outlook’s profound
You’re open so joy will enter.

This is lovely, Cindi. Each new day is indeed something to be thankful for, and I'm happy the start of my day included the opportunity to read this little reminder of that you created for all of us.
