Thank You Mama For Holding Me Ever So Close

Mama come and hold me ever so close
Comfort me as only you know how so
Read to me ever so softly cause I can't sleep
Please prepare warm up for me some milk
Oh' you walk me to kindergarten
You make me apple pie from the orchard 
And homemade vegetable soup from the garden
Thank you mama
Thank you mom

Mama would put ointment and alcohol on my wounds
Help me with my home work when I could remember
Wash and fold my clothes And I'd put them away
Cook me homemade breakfast
Knit  and darn my old tattered sweater
Mama come and hold me ever so close
Comfort me as only you know how so
Thank you mama
Thank you mom
Thank you mama for holding me ever so close

Nothing better than her sweet touch! I miss mine so much! Such a beautiful dedication to a wonderful mother! Love it! Hugs. So this verse is in remembrance and dedication to all mom's living and gone on. The greatest love is God/Jesus, the next and only second greatest love is mama!!! ---James
