Thank You God By Franklin Price 7/31/2018 Thank You God for giving me The life I'm living here Been more than I deserve from You I'd like to make that clear Have friends that I appreciate Wife and family are the best I've sometimes gotten off the path And put you to the test You've always been there for me And for the ones I dearly love, From Your all-seeing vantage point, You've been watching from above I try to do the best I can But sometimes slip and slide Please protect me from my stupid self As we proceed along the ride When You see I've gotten off the path As we go from day to day Please tap me on the shoulder When You see I've gone astray When my ride is over And You've taken me away I pray the memories I leave behind Will be the best for those who stay

"please protect me from my stupid self" made me laugh. I had liked it untii I got there, then I fell head-over-heels in love with this poem.
