Notes About The Poem

Never ending love

Thank You For the Love

Thank You for the Love

Barb, thank you for the love you gave
For all those years to me
Without a hint of reservation
For all the world to see

You gave your all, your everything
As I also did for you
Took seriously, the words we said
Which we ended with, “I do”.

When the Reverend said to kiss the bride
And the wedding said and done
My heart flowed out, my love for you
You were my only, were the one.

My love for you grew deeper
As the years went quickly by
The vows we took meant everything
When I looked you in the eye

My love, for you, will never end
Though God has taken you on high
I'll always feel the love you left
Through the tears that I still cry

God is love, and love is God
That's why I had you in my life
Now you wait for me in Heaven
For you'll always be my wife

I believe, God has a plan,
For me to move along.
To share our love that's in me
To sing his praises, with our song.
