Thank You For Being Who You Are

Thank you for being who you are 

And for always caring like you do 

Because it has allowed me to have
a unique connection with you  

And if you didn’t know it by now

It is  because of you that I am able to 
get through each day a little bit easier 

Because I have been truly blessed
to be able to find 
such a wonderful friend in you

And you may not even know it yet

But it is the little things 
that you say or do that encourages me 
to strive to be the best that I can be

I just hope and pray that I have 
touched you in all the same ways

Because in my eyes you are a star 
that shines 
ever so brightly within the darkness

And no matter how many years may go by 

I can honestly say 

That I will always appreciate 
the inner beauty that shines within you

Because that is what truly defines who you are

And that alone is what makes you so special

Thank you for being who you are 

And for always caring like you do
