Thank You Dear Father
Thank You Dear Father,
For all that You've done.
You've always been there for me,
Right from day one.
Kind and generous,
Considerate too,
Though I've never been worthy,
To come to You.
You called me by name,
And invited me in,
From a cold, callous world,
That was rife with sin;
And the warmth of Your love,
Fed my ravenous soul,
Gently tending it's bruises,
Till I finally felt whole.
The depth of my feelings,
Is hard to express,
And I know that at times,
It seems they're much less;
But my heart overflows,
With gratitude and love,
And to tell You with words,
Is just not enough.
I want You to know,
How You've changed my whole life.
How You've purged it and filled it,
And ended the strife,
Of constantly searching,
For where I belonged,
And evening scores,
For the times I was wronged.
How You've freed me from anger,
And hatred and sin,
And opened the gateway,
For life to flow in.
Help me to show You,
What You mean to me.
Teach me to follow,
Where' ere You may lead.
