Thank You

Thank you for cheating; thank you for lying
There are now less nights where I am crying

Thank you for leaving me behind
And not making me think that you were really mine

Thank you for opening my eyes; that was very kind
For now I can see you for who you are; I am no longer blind

Thank you for not caring; thank you for not comparing
For if you did, a scar I'd still be wearing

Thank you for treating me like I am the one at blame
I gave you three strikes; you are no longer in the game

Thank you for breaking my heart
Thank you for now I can begin a fresh start

Thank you for turning your back on me like this
I am to you as you are to me; you don't exist

Thank you for all and everything
No marks left on my finger from my wedding ring
