Thank You
Thank You
Mom knew how to calm the fears.
While finding time to wipe a tear,
You knew how to make it fine.
At night, I cried and did whine.
Never did I want to share.
Where did you find time to spare?
Mom was able to teach me right
to direct me with her insight.
Tried to keep me from harm
in times of danger or alarm.
Your patience about gave out.
Yet, never did it come about.
The time has gone for it has flown.
Eager to find friends of my own.
I tried new things to explore.
For you did teach me more.
A thank you is not enough.
It must have been very rough.
Thank you for all that you gave me.
Spending time to help me to see.
God’s gift from heaven above.
Parents have that special love.
Let’s give her a gift or a lift.
Give a hug it will help fix the rift.
By tiptoe
