Thank You
Sometimes words are complicated
When you don't know what to say
The words we need have somehow faded
Even when we pray
"Lord, give me that or Lord give me this"
We ask in the name of His Son
But yet somehow we've learned to dismiss
"Not my will, but Thine be done"
We take for granted His Mercy and Grace
As we live from day to day
Forgetting that Jesus took our place
For a ransom that we couldn't pay
The things we want are not a need
Our needs He will supply
Forgiveness is why the Lord had to bleed
And the reason He had to die
So the next time you bow your head to pray
Count your blessings before you do
For then you'll know what words to say
"Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You!"
