Thank You

The dreams of our childhood

lay in the corner

lonely and cold.

The thoughts that we had played with

and their youthful promise

are growing old.

It seems we walk away

forgetting their face

we can't even remember their name.

We close our eyes

we lose our focus

and our lives are never the same.

Sometimes we get lucky

someone comes along

to reintroduce us to our heart.

Yes, I'm one of those lucky ones

you've brought back my sight my love,

now I'm finally ready to start.
