Thank You

What I've noticed for some time
But only recently began to understand
Is that happiness can stop on a dime
Ruining your whole day and anything you've planned

There's nothing you can do about it
Nothing at all you can say
But just because I don't want to talk about it
Doesn't mean I want you to go away

Sometimes just knowing your here
Means more than any words of comfort
But you always try hard and your always sincere
Your wealth of kindness never runs short

Most people will never find
A friend that truly cares
Or someone who doesn't mind
Being there when life just isn't fair

After all was said and done at the end of the day
You were there for me to help me through
And for all this the only thing I can say...is,
Thank You

Daniel, this is so beautiful..True friends are hard to come by. But when they do , they are truly a blessing in so many ways..Sometimes they can't say anything that will make it better but just knowing they are there with you through the silence makes it a little easier..At times no words can help but maybe a shoulder to lean on or a hug might..You are blessed to have a friend such as this, I hope you let them no just how much you love and appreciate them..Wonderful write. Thank yous are nice words to hear, Daniel. For a real friend, that's all need be said. I love the message in your well written poem. Friends get us through the rough times, don't they? I can tell you are the type of person who is there for your friends when they need someone to offer support as well. Very nice poetry from a special lady.
