Thank You

You give a gift and you expect Acknowledgement, at least, Yet somehow, in this current age, The thank you nod has ceased. No note, no phone call - it gets worse - No words when face to face. To me, this lack of manners Is an absolute disgrace. Of course, we don’t bestow these gifts For something in return But thank you etiquette’s a basic Everyone should learn.

I don't understand that as, it seems to me, everyone wants to know their gift found its recipient. Perhaps in my next life? Aloha! Rico

It amazes me how few acknowledge a gift you have chosen, wrapped, and ribboned. The ones who do in my world seem to be the retirees.

I totally agree with you Ilene - in November I sent a soft toy to a colleague when her baby was born. I assume it was received as I put a return address on the parcel... that said I received a Christmas card from Hawaii .. it was posted on 10th Dec - it arrived 2 days ago lol:-) hugs Jan xx
