Thank God... But Remember

Thank God for your lovely life,
You have a wonderful woman
Who you can call your own wife;
It shows you are not a miserable man.
…Remember that some a good
But they have no sweetie…spouse
While some have no farm or food
Let alone having a hut or a house.

Thank god for your lively life
You have good pay and a juicy job;
Despite the struggle and strife,
You can still cruise to country club.
…remember those who are brains,
Yet they only wish they could work,
While some live in poverty and pains
After they have worked round the clock.

Thank God for… your keen kids
They are cool, cute and cheerful
You are able to meet all their needs
So, they are bold, bright and beautiful
…remember the children who are cheerless
They sleep and wake up in strains and stains
Remember the chaps… helpless and hopeless
Let’s save them from their shame and chains

Anyway, I think we can never understand other people until we truly walk in their shoes. I do want you to know, however, it is not all roses in the US. many of our own citizens live in poverty nd many have been without health insurance for years now. I heard on the news, 1 out of 50 Utah children are starving. That is a big number for a supposedly wealthy country. It's not quite the same as you might imagine, dear. My best to you this evening. LUv, Andrea

Hello. Adeleke. I think I missed this one for it being posted before you did two others right after it. This is so true. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to live in true poverty. We in the US, even with our difficulties right now, are still more blessed than most of the world's population. I heard somewhere, even americans with just enough income to keep themselves going are still enjoying a better life than 90% of the world. Maybe our trials are different. More stress I don't know. ....
