Texting and Driving Collide

Tragedy struck 
Didn't see that truck
Was traveling way too fast 
Didn't feel that blast
Crashed around the bin
Left a pile of tin
Used the jaws of life 
Other driver wsn't coming home to his wife
Hope his family can forgive me
I lost control and couldn't see 
Wrapped around a tree
He didn't see me
Never had a chance
Didn't make it to that dance
Happened within a blink
Wasn't any time to react or think
Crossed right over that center line
Blinding was that bright burning sunshine
There just wasn't enough time
Couldn't stop on a dime
Life was way to brief 
Left behind so much heartache and grief 
Wished I could have paused a moment before it all occured
I'd called to say I love you and your voice would be the last thing that I heard
Hope my family can forgive me
I should of slowed down so I could see
Wasn't wearing a seatbelt, another fact
Flew out the windshield on impact 
Shouldn't have been texting while I'd drive
If I hadn't been so absorbed maybe we'd both still be alive

Unfortunately alot of accidents that occur could have been preventable. There are a lot of dangers and risks with every day driving as it is without adding other factors such as increased speed and cell phone use among other various distractions and elements. Best wishes!
