Text Survives.

Youth like a sapling eventually

reaches the season of Autumn.

Whereas text's embossed ink

never sinks.

Rather it's transformed from screen

to disk to printer and back to paper.

Text always wins, multiplies & out lives us.

Text survives time,distance,life,space.

Words on paper live on long after we've gone.

Our youth ,the winds could blow and erode ,

Yet text stands like monuments on a landscape.

Years from now, shall we be singing and laughing?

We can only be photographs, recordings compared to

printed text on paper.

Like Architecture, marking the passage of time

the spirit within the text is transcribed.

And our offspring are left to carry on.
